Today's post on Dogs Steal Yarn is the most abso-freaking-lutely brilliant knitting blog post I've seen in a long, long time.

It works as a parody of the thing which it parodies, and yet it also works on its own.

I am totally jealous. I used to dabble in parodies of published works a long, long time ago (ask a couple of my old high school friends about our blending of Sophocles and Monty Python's Flying Circus). I've not tried my hand at any such thing since perhaps Great Books back in the fall of 1987. I doubt though that I could come up with something that captures the spirit of the original as well, though.
