Not much energy to do other than the necessary things. I did teach a class and a lab; the students helped with getting out and putting up the lab stuff so I didn't have to walk much.
I placed an order with Pruett's; tomorrow after my last lecture of the day I can pick it up. I'm trying not to worry about getting it up to the house; maybe I use a backpack for that.
REALLY hoping things improve fast enough I can dump the crutches fairly soon, they're very tiresome.
This evening I did knit a bit more on the current socks, but again: I'm so tired from the extra efforts that this business takes. The name of the game is keeping straight everything you need and bagging it up so you don't have to make more than one trip to get it.
I'm still having some pain and I don't dare put weight on the foot (I'm afraid of doing more damage). I do just barely use the toe to help balance because I'm afraid of "getting over my skis" on the crutches and pitching forward or otherwise losing my balance. At work, there'd be someone to help me, at home I'd have to call someone and hope I could crawl to the door to unlock it (I feel like a home invasion might be slightly more likely than a fall I couldn't crawl up out of, and I wouldn't sleep with the front door unlocked). I do keep my phone near me just in case; in a horrible situation I could just let the firefighters or whoever break the lock and deal with that later on.
