Make up is expensive, and I didn't want to get the most dead-cheap stuff (because of concerns about allergies)
I also made the mistake of getting waterproof mascara, which is REALLY hard to take off, even with the remover towelettes.
The upside? I really kind of like how the "nude" lipstick looks on, so I will probably wear it some times even after halloween. I normally go for really bright bluish-reds, but this is an interesting change.
I also can't get my hair to work in an updo; it's gotten REALLY thin in the past few years, so here I just jammed on a headband. I might do something different tomorrow.
The dress is a bluish green so hopefully the eyeshadow will work; I guess not many people wear it any more, there were few choices. (if I had been thinking last time I was at Ulta.....then again, back then it looked like it would still be in the 80s and I was going to do the hippie look, which means effectively no makeup)
And I still kind of hate my face, I could list all the flaws I see in it too you (mainly: my features are too heavy and too masculine looking, I think), but that annoys people when I do, so.
Very much a mutton-as-lamb look, though:
I also hate applying eye make up. That's partly why I never wear it, also, few people in my circle do.
