* I did get the heel turned last night; I might knit more on these socks in a bit. I found a couple free-pattern toe-up sock alternatives; I do want to give that a try again.
*D'agostini Collectibles got back to me. They are sending a new part, so I can finish the little stove. I'm pleased; some companies might ignore that kind of request.
* One thing I did today was finish up all the litter bags. As I said elsewhere: two pans of very bad dumplings:
I also went to the site and dug a couple shallow spots to bury the bags
Fortunately I still had a couple surveyor's flags in the back of my car because I really needed to mark the area. After lunch, I ran to Lowe's and bough a reel of surveyor's flagging and went back and marked the areas better. (My first resample is on the 29th and I don't trust my memory.
While there, I did take a few seconds of video in the wooded area. Most of these trees are winged elm, which tends to remain a fairly small slender tree
* Then I went back and fought with Canvas for a while. Yeah, another new thing to learn that frustrates me and makes me feel incompetent (so: three semesters now). I got it kind of working by 4:30 but was too tired (and worrying about ticks; I had not showered yet) so I went home.
I'm telling myself if I can finish my last two syllabi and get the basics of Canvas wrangled tomorrow and Thursday I can take Friday and go to the yarn shop in Whitesboro (I will have to check if they're open; sometimes they have irregular hours in the summer) and just take a day for ME, I have done precious little of that all summer long and I feel bad I didn't really have any fun.....
Next week is almost all meetings so I can't go then, and then the week after that it's classes again.
