I worked a bit more on the tiger stuffie tonight. I had already done the ears; tonight I did the muzzle and "bridge of the nose" (lower left in the photo) and started the head - it's a bit less than half done in the photo, it's worked from the crown down:
this is going to be *large.* I don't know that I have any lock washer eyes big enough to look right; if I don't maybe I have to make applique eyes like I did on my Ponies. It's a fairly straightforward pattern so far.
I sort of missed toy-making. It's fairly instant gratification, at least more instant than most garment making is.

Sometimes these days, I look at some of the stuff I've accumulated, and I feel a little regret, like "I spent my hard earned money on this?" and I admit in the dark middle of the night when I wake up I wonder if, someday (hopefully VERY far in the future) who will wind up stuck with dealing with all of it when I'm gone.
One of the recent things I ordered was the little Garfield plush.
I don't regret that. Right now he lives on an (unused) side chair in my living room with some other stuffed animals - Basil the Basset, and the cat I renamed Buster in memory of the string of cats my dad had said he owned growing up. And a couple of other etsy purchases (the little blue Izzy unicorn, and a pillow based on Calcifer). When I see him there, I smile. I'm glad I have a "classic" stuffed Garfield again. (And I am going to look for my old one, if I kept it, when I'm up at my mom's):

Taking tomorrow off. I did a lot of grading today, and while I still have the plant collections to grade, I (a) have a few still coming in (I gave an extension until Tuesday because people were struggling) and (b) I have three hours before my first exam on Monday so I think I come in at the "normal" time and spend the time I'm there before giving the final to grade them.
I need a day off. this was a long week between food poisoning and trying to get all the grading catch-up done and the last bit of teaching. I *might* run to Lulu and Hazel's to see what they have in new, and if I can get myself together *first,* I might put together a back for one of the finished tops and take it in (if they're accepting tops for quilting; sometimes they get too busy and tell people to wait a bit)
