So, I decided part of my funk was needing to eat something, but I lacked energy for extensive cooking, so I decided to heat up a couple servings of vegetables, including some waffle fries.
And I found this in the bag:
It's a potato. A whole (small and clean, but whole) potato, with a couple fries frozen to it.
I admit I laughed when I pulled it out because it just seemed so weird. I mean, I guess maybe Ore-Ida's machinery needs a little tweaking, I don't know. (And I guess: at least you know they use real potatoes).
The question is this: do I e-mail them about this? I mean, it's not a BIG deal, it's not like the rest of the bag was unusable. But on the other hand - if they sent me coupons, well, I use these all the time and I'd happily use coupons. But I don't know about the ethics of contacting them when I'm not really upset just in the hopes of getting coupons....
that said, the waffle fries really are good, and it looks like they use decent-quality potatoes in them....
