It's been a busy week, both with school-stuff and with other stuff (AAUW meeting last night. It's not fun having a 6:30 meeting when you get out of your last class at 5:15)
I feel like my different projects miss me. My quilt sits in silent reproach on the chair where I normally sit to quilt on it. The two pairs of socks-in-progress (the Pele socks and a pair of simple socks out of some Opal self-patterning yarn) look imploringly at me from where I set them down last. I can even hear the partly-completed embroidered pillowcases calling to me from the bag where they're stowed in my guest room.
Unfortunately, I don't know that I'll get to any of those this weekend. This afternoon I have a meeting with my new graduate student, and Saturday I (foolishly) agreed to help out with a yard sale at church. And Sunday involves a bunch of other stuff.
It makes me sad when I can't be working on those things.
But, there's at least one project this week that didn't have to miss me: I finished a rewrite of a manuscript and have it all ready to submit to a journal, pending some advice from the editor. (I hope he e-mails today; I'd really like to feel like I finished off this week by getting something done).
