Here's the first of the Feather and Fan socks made of the Strapaz:
I keep wanting to write that as St. Rapaz.
Spent a little time digging in my stash - someone on Knitter's Review needed a couple balls of Guava colored Wool-Ease, which has been discontinued. I knew I had some, knew I was unlikely to use it, so I went in search of it. I found it, and also found a couple of things from my early days back at knitting:
my first Elann purchase (yes, she says with shame, I've not used the yarn yet). It was two discontinued colors of Wildfoote - Sienna (sort of an odd reddish brown; now I don't know what posessed me to order four balls of it) and Sunflower Twist, which is still my favorite color of Wildfoote and I wonder why they discontinued it.
I also found a ball and 1/3 of some Big Print in a speckly pink-and-purple, left from the second pair of socks I ever knit. And I found some cream Big Wool that I bought to use with the leftover Big Print in stripey socks.
I set both sets of wool out where I'd be more likely to see them again when I'm thinking of starting a new sock project. (I'm not saying I totally HATE the Sienna but - hint, hint - if someone was desirous of it I could probably be persuaded to trade it pretty easily).
