And since it's going to be one of those weeks where I'm never home to knit, here's some Old Knitted Stuff. This is the first sweater I ever knit:
It's made of Wool-Ease. Don't remember what they specifically called the color. It was from a pattern on the back of the label. It took me over a year to knit it, partly because I had so many other small projects I was interested in and partly because I was a new returnee (learned at age 10, didn't really knit much until age 27 or so) to knitting and I couldn't knit very fast at that point.
also the pattern was dead boring to knit.
It's a lot warmer, actually, than many of my all-wool sweaters - they're at a finer gauge, and I do think the mostly-acrylic Wool-Ease does not breathe that well. But since there's no heat in my classroom building right now, and it's that sort of grey, cold, foggy, in-the-40s-but-feels-a-lot-colder weather, it's ok.
