On snow-day number 2.

And I am glad - I just watched someone go BACKWARDS down my street who was trying to go FORWARDS (my street is a very slight slope).

I am safe and cozy at home. I have enough food. I have more than enough projects to keep myself busy. The heat and light and water are on.

Last night, I finished the first Huron Mountain sock and began the second. I also wound off the Lorna's Laces sportweight "Hawaii" I bought from ThreadBear Fiber Arts. I have my stitch treasuries out, and when I need a break from entering data (which is what I am doing this morning again), I am going to plan out socks with an eyelet or simple lace pattern for this yarn.

Oh, and I must give a shout-out and a big Thank You to Matt and Rob (and Connor) of ThreadBear. In the mail yesterday was a birthday card from them! What a nice surprise! (my birthday is tomorrow; it's not at all clear yet whether classes will be back in session or if I will have yet another day off. I do have enough eggs to bake myself a small cake, or, what is more likely, a batch of gooey brownies).

Michele (Kitty) also sent me a postcard from Dublin where she is traveling. Thank you, Michele!
