OK.
Stealing a few minutes to mention some stuff from the weekend.

My folks were down visiting. There were a few tense moments Sunday morning when my mom and I woke up and realized there was a snowstorm in Tulsa (my dad was up there at the AAPG meetings). But he got back here ok, and they left this morning.

They should be at least in Missouri by now.

Saturday, my mom and I went to McKinney, Texas. It was pretty fun - I do notice I spend a lot less money when I have my mom with me (grin). We went to "The Quilt Asylum" where I discovered to my delight, I had a filled "Mad Stash Card" (meaning I got 10% off everything I bought). I got some really cute puppy dog fabric, and a few fat quarters of plain colors to use with it, and a yard of some Clarice Cliff-inspired geometric fabric. My mom picked out a few things too. And I got five stamps on my new "Mad Stash Card" (it takes 10 to fill it)!

I really like Quilt Asylum. I just wish it were closer.

My parents also brought me my birthday presents, because my birthday is Thursday. I got some quilting fabric, a copy of "Knitted Historical Figures" (great to look at but I'm unsure if I'd ever make one, that's a lot of work), a book on growing culinary herbs, and a copy of "Knit a Square, Make a Toy" which I admitted to my mom I already had a copy of...she took it back and told me she'd get me something else to replace it.

I've been fighting a cold all weekend (unfortunately) and now I have one of those terrible "band-type" headaches - where it's like a band wrapping around my head and down to the back of my neck. Usually that means there's a huge change in the weather coming.

I have a long long faculty meeting this afternoon and I'm praying that if it starts to ice-rain, that they will call it off.
