I put up the wreath on my door when I went home to eat lunch today.

I like this piece-by-piece decorating; it stretches things out and keeps the fun going.

My fireplace ISN'T an actually-working one; the flue is bricked up (I assume in the early days of the house it may have been functional) and it is plumbed for gas - I could have a little gas stove or a gas log in there. But I don't, mainly because the venting is not good, and the after-fumes of burned natural gas bothers my chemical sensitivites/allergies. (I do have gas heat and I'm kind of tight-chested and wheezy the first few weeks its on until my body adjusts).

I do keep candles in the non-functional fireplace though; at least I can have some little flames to watch that way.

I also finished the "Duncan" hat over my lunch break. It looks good! I think I'm going to make another on in the leftover rainbow striped "Rumor" for the AAUW gift-swap.
