My research student and his "friend" (I assume she is a "friend" from the way he introduced her) came and picked up the seed bank stuff just now. My grades are all in, my accepted journal article has gone through to the editor, I have all the biomass bags weighed, I even cleaned up the teaching lab prep room where I had been working (And cleaned it well: the colleague who shares it with me uttered a mild oath when he walked in there, and commented that he thought it had never been so clean).
So I am done. Done with the work-related stuff for a while. Tomorrow is graduation. Sunday is church stuff plus the "Jesus' Birthday Party" (which I've never been to but the person playing "Santa" asked me to be there for "moral support" because he's apprehensive about doing it. I don't know why.) Shortly I will be going out to lunch, and then home, to relax some more. It's nice to have a few hours - a golden afternoon here and there - after all the craziness of the semester.
