A couple of things, for a Sunday:

1. reading through accumulated Knitlists. I really can't bring myself to care about Martha's* freaking poncho. Does that make me a bad person?

(*Stewart. Is there any other Martha in this world who inspires such adulation and hero-worship? I mean, don't get me wrong, I sorta liked her show, but - there's just something a bit off for me about wanting to wear a garment someone wore as they were walking out of prison...)

2. Ran across the four skeins of Classic Elite "Imagine..." I bought several years ago from a (now-defunct, I think) yarn shop in Greenville...I loved the yarn but it was too expensive to get more than the four skeins, which totals slightly under 400 yards. I had always intended to do some kind of neck-scarf of dressy-scarf type thing. Then, it hit me (while I was proctoring an exam, of all things) - Ting! Teeny Tiny Clapotis! Make a small version (narrower and perhaps shorter) of Clapotis using this yarn. It's a rayon/cotton blend and is very slick, so it should drop stitches quite brilliantly.

3. Got the new Patternworks catalog last week. Must....resist....urge....to purchase... I especially find myself wanting some Karabella 8 to make the Sideways Spencer. Nevermind that I've got the Fable Bookworm vest to do, and yarn in-stash for that pattern called "Otis" that was on Knitty last year, and yarn for not one but two SitCom Chics - I should be well-outfitted for the spring. But I want the dang Spencer jacket, because it's Jane Austenish.

I also like a lot of the laceweight yarns they have now. I really do need to work through my accumulated shawl-stash first though.

4. I'm up to the heel flap on the first Eccentric Cable sock.
