Saw my parents off this morning, am in my office now, writing exams.

I have promised myself if I get my exams written today (one is done, two to go), I can go antiquing tomorrow.

I didn't do a whole lot over the break. I did grade the 20 student papers from Ecology - these are their research papers and I read each one three times: first, just to get a general idea of where everyone is "at", a second time to "bleed" all over them (mark grammar errors, missing content, etc.) and a final time to figure out what penalties get assigned for the various omissions and comissions on the papers. It takes me a good 12 hours to do 20 papers, and that's working solidly. So I'm proud of myself for getting them done.

I did knit some: a few more rows on the Bookworm vest (and I am already worrying whether I bought enough wool for it). I also am finally up to the heel flap on the Cherry Tree Hill Supersock socks. (Corrugated Rib looks nice but takes twice as long to do, I think).

back to general bio. At least this one is all multiple choice, and I use the little trick of "recycling" a few (a VERY few) questions from old quizzes, just to reward the people who bother to keep them and study from them.
