Well, I got the label sewn on the quilt last night. And I'm on the toe decreases for the Country socks, which means they will soon be done (and good - I've been working on them since June).
I'm not sure what to do next. I have the Rio socks but right now I'm a bit burned out on working on size 1 needles. I've tucked the Interlacements socks away; I intend to use them as a Christmas present for my mom and my parents are supposed to get here this morning. I've got the big funky hat out of the leftover Landlord but that doesn't inspire either.
I think either I'll start sewing up the Landlord sweater, or maybe start the Trinity stitch shawl I've been talking about. Or a pair of socks out of Wool-Ease sport; I need some "faster" socks after all the work with thin yarn and tight tiny gauges and tiny needles. There's a cute pattern by the estimable Judy Sumner in the winter/spring '02 Cast On that I've been looking at....
I'm hoping while my folks are here there will be time to have my mom help me baste a new quilt for the frame (this one is all done and marked, just needs to be basted). It's the "Chimney Sweep" pattern and is made from RJR's "Folk Art" line, which is a reprint of one of the "last old lines" still available in the 1970s.
I associate the colors and patterns very much with my childhood (I was a kid in the 70s...). In fact, I think I had a dress out of some of that fabric.
