So what did I do this weekend?
I knitted the left front of a cardigan sweater! (And this was with helping out with a church workday all day Saturday). Yes, I love bulky yarns and size 13 needles.
I'm doing a cardigan out of some Landlord (a discontinued Stahl yarn; I got it from Elann a year or more ago. It was the thing I spent my first $50 "gift certificate" on).
I am very happy I bought it. It's a lovely yarn (color scheme 205; the pattern book calls it "Heide", which I can't get a translation for from the German-to-English online dictionary I use.) It's a mix of purple, fuchsia, denim blue, green, and yellow, with a cream color running throughout. The sweater I am making is #29 in the book (I don't remember the book number and apparently Elann doesn't have it any more...). It's a highnecked, longsleeved cardigan.
I always believed the dictum from EZ that a bulky weight yarn would "take more than you can possibly imagine for a sweater" so I have to say I'm surprised I got the left front out of less than two 50-g balls (I have a total of 14; that means I will doubtless have enough).
