I worked on these some over break, but didn't finish them; sometimes plain knit socks get hard to finish the foot on, because it takes a while and it gets a little dull. But I pushed at it over this weekend and got up to the toe, and now they're done
The colorway is called "Cosmic Dust" - the base yarn also has a silver thread running through it. To me, they look like either a 1980s video-game arcade carpet, or maybe a movie theater color scheme from that era.
I like them.
And I kind of wonder if the fluorescent-colored bits would glow under blacklight (I don't have one, and I don't think there's one in the department - sometimes we have those for botany classes to show the ultraviolet markings on flowers, nectar guides)
I'm not sure which to start next. I do have other ongoing projects (Mitts, the unicorn, a couple sweaters, Lithos, the shawl) to work on too. I am keeping the shawl for invigilating knitting, at least until I get to the lace part (about 40 more rows)
I might do a cabled pair out of a handdyed yarn I ordered off Etsy; the colorway is called "succulents" and the colors do kind of look like some of the succulent plants that have been popular recently.
