It is just very very hot here, and allergies are terrible, and the humidity is terrible (lots of rain --> lots of mold growing --> lots of evaporation back to the atmosphere). Yesterday the dewpoint was 77 for a while (!!)
I mean, we're kind of stuck with this until October now (and one of the things I dislike about living here is that we DON'T get "cool snaps" in the summer like we sometimes did in Ohio when I was a kid, where for a couple days it might drop into the lower 70s or upper 60s, and also it does NOT cool down here at night so you don't get overnight relief, and it's hot and sticky already when you leave the house in the morning.
So as I said the other night, some projects - sewing down bindings on quilts - are less appealing. But socks are workable, so I've been working some on the "John-Boy" socks:
The colors in this one are different and nice, I think they will be nice when they're done.
I admit though, I'm itching to start other projects - I was looking at some of my stockpiled sock yarn and thinking about starting a new pair, or maybe a hat, or maybe a vest. I think I'll hold off a bit and push myself to maybe finish these and maybe get some more done on a partially-finished project.
