Mozart's birthday is listed as January 27, 1756. (I don't know if that was under the "old" or "new" calendar though, I forget what countries used the Julian vs. Gregorian and when)
Anyway. This is something I made ages and ages ago - back when I was in grad school, back when I had time and energy for small fiddly things. I had a book out from the library that was on making historical fashion dolls (I later bought my own copy, from a used book seller: The Doll Book, by Estelle Ansley Worrell. (copyright 1967, so older than I am). It is FULL of clothing patterns to more or less fit fashion dolls (Barbie, Ken, Skipper...) but also there are some lovely and highly detailed patterns for small cloth dolls that fit the clothes, and that's what I spend some time doing.
I made a woman of the 1660s, and a woman of the Regency era, and a can-can dancer, and a doll depiction of Mme. Max Goesler, a character from a book I was reading at the time.
And I made a little doll of Mozart as a boy:
The breeches are velveteen, the coat is a brocade as is the vest underneath it. The shoes are felt and everything is trimmed with beads to stand in for buttons. I don't know if Mozart really had blue eyes or not but it worked with the "powdered wig" made of mohair curls. The doll is maybe 8" to 9" tall - the doll and clothes were machine sewn as much as possible, and a lot of the clothes are lined (so the delicate fabrics were less likely to ravel)

Really cool.
And I love the word fiddly, which my blogger buddy Arthur uses, but I don't.
