Couple quick photos

The two projects I'm most actively working on.

I turned the heel and picked up the gusset on the "F*R*I*E*N*D*S" socks. I really like this colorway - it's multicolor but not loud, and it doesn't do the pooling thing some multicolor yarns do; the segments of color are short.

I'm doing the foot all stockinette (instead of in ribbing, like the leg) so it will both go faster and be more comfortable in a shoe.

And then the color-bar blanket. The piece I have the most done on is the narrow strip - the top part is long strips of blue, red, magenta, green, cyan, yellow, and white, then a narrow strip with a different sequence, then a bottom strip on black, navy, white, and grey.

The colors are not *perfect* as a match to the old test pattern but they were as close as I could get.

Here's close up of the green so you can see the stitch pattern. These are different from the typical granny squares in that there's just one color per square - but fewer ends to weave in that way. (I have also seen blankets made with these in a mosaic pattern, so you make a picture - I know there's one out there of Super Mario)

Right now I'm working on the black squares, then I have the white ones to do, and then they'll all be done. I can finish a square in 20 minutes or so, but they still get tedious.

I will definitely want to block this at the end - it's wool, so blocking will help. My gauge has changed a bit over the years so blocking will help even that out.
