The other "outfit" related thing I finished over break were these socks. It's the good old Jaywalker pattern coupled with a String Theory self-striping yarn, colorway Schinia:
Schinia is a genus of flower moths, some of which have some of these colors in them. The dyer also likened it to Jigglypuff (a Pokemon) colors.
The chevron pattern is created by paired increases and decreases; you can see on the knit-plain sole of the foot that without that it would stripe:
I also got several packages - the KN95 masks I bought out of (a possible excess of concern) over teaching during a surge with a new tougher variant, and a book of sheet music, and then my "reward" for the paper acceptance:
She is a whale shark made out of rainbow-speckled Minky. Her name, I've decided, is Princess.
She even has a tiny star charm on that lace bow she wears:
She is pretty big and cuddly:
Also, like many Etsy sellers, the artist included a "freebee" - I hope if they do this it's unsold merchandise and not cutting into their profit. Anyway, this was a little "tsum tsum" style figure, from some game or anime:
I was going to ask "Does anyone know this....sassy lost child?" but I realized I could use the translate function on my phone to figure out the tag (it is in Japanese). "Touken Ranbu," which is a video game and anime.
So then I searched "Touken Ranbu character purple hair and found him (?): Kasen Kanesada. That doesn't tell me a LOT more, but at least he's not like some horrible villain or some such, as far as I can tell.
