This is the smallish quilt I got the binding on to last week, but it was so grey out that I couldn't get a photograph of it before today
First quilt photo with my cellphone camera. I may have to play with the settings for future photos, it seems a little washed out.
A couple close-ups. I think this quilt is what Cher Horowitz referred to as a "full-on Monet:" it looks fine from a distance but close up the pink I used as a background doesn't *quite* match and it bothers me just a little.
The backing is just a plain-ish batik:
(You can see the sun shining through it there; that's what the darker shapes on it are.

I should have commented on this when I saw it. It looks fabulous. I think you have a really good eye for lights mediums and darks. I sometimes feel like I need to do better at that. And I actually really love that the light shining thru the quilt shows you the plus sign on the opposite side. Its just the photographer in me who squees a little inside seeing that.
