I just found out that Mike Banks, the dad of the two young women who run the local quilt shop, passed away. I knew him to say hello to from the times I went out to the shop; he seemed to me to be a nice man.
I know they were close to him and this is AWFUL for them. While everyone grieves differently, I kind of know a little bit of how they feel. (I have a quilt in for quilting with them but I expect now I won't get it back any time soon; that is fine.)
I just hope they can keep the shop. (It was based out of the car dealership he ran). Selfishly: I liked the shop and it was nice to have a local shop.
But good GRIEF, 2019, can you stop hurting me and people in my circle? This is really horrible.
