I did pick up a couple of treats.
And more pajama-shorts fabric. Because JoAnn's was having a sale and I also had a good coupon:
Hello Kitty! (well, that one wasn't actually on sale, but I *could* *not* *resist* it.) And funky hedgehogs.
And also, they had their t-shirts on a closeout sale, so I bought a pink one that matches the pink in the hedgehogs and a yellow one that matches the yellow flower centers on Kitty, so I will have complete sets. (I usually wear a t-shirt as the pajama top with shorts).
The cherry-print fabric is for a Barbie dress, probably for Cinnamon. (Maybe tomorrow I try out that sundress pattern, though I've "promised" Olivia she gets the first dress. She seems the most high-fashion of all the Barbies, and the pickiest....)
I also bought these weirdos:
I'm a sucker for these kinds of things even though the color change is really slower than what I ideally like. I have a bit over 1000 yards of dk acrylic, not sure what I'll do with it. Too much for just a scarf but not enough (I bought all they had left) for a blanket, so....maybe I just make a big rectangle thing to throw over my shoulders when reading at home in the winter? Just all garter stitch? It would take a long long time but it would be so simple I could practically knit it in my sleep.
Maybe I cast this on and I can knit on it while I read in that history of the environmental movement, I don't know. I'll have to think about gauge and how many stitches I need to cast on, but other than that, it would just be a big rectangle.
And Target had the Cutie Mark Crew figures, so I bought a couple to see how they are:
They are just too stinking cute. Probably less "play value" than the blindbags (and I still love the blindbags), but these are an awful lot of fun. They come with a little "room" (there is a backdrop there) and I think there is a way to stack them up for display, so they can "live" in their little rooms.
I got Sunset Shimmer (in her Equestria Girls form) with a pizza slice (!) chair sort of thing, and also Muffins (aka Derpy) with a muffin to sit in.
(I will admit I bought a couple more but haven't opened them yet. They are more expensive than the blindbags but I guess you really do get more, as you get the little room and the accessory and the stand)
They also have tiny stands that plug into a hole in their foot so they stand up well.
