On extra credit....

I said this over on Twitter but I'll say it here:

"It's getting to be the time of the semester when I just want to say "There are no extra-credit assignments in LIFE." and then just drop the mic."

'Cos, yeah. It's the same sense that made me once say to a class (and it came back to bite me on evals from a disgruntled student) that "There are a lot of things I do I don't get any "bonus pay" for" (when I was asked for approximately the eighteenth time if the few people present were deserving of "extra credit" for making the effort to get out of bed and come to class that day).
