No new things started, as much as I'd like to. Knit some on the second Feather and Fan sock last night, and also some on the pink Landscapes scarf. (I've decided, Gift Box Project be darned, I need this scarf. I need its pinkness). I have a couple skeins of a silly little novelty yarn called "Whisper" in a rather bright pink that I bought at the Jo-Ann's when I was up visiting my parents, for a little roll-brimmed hat, and the Landscape scarf would match.

Still feeling kind of blah and grey - looked at the way I had dressed this morning in the mirror, wondered whether the outfit could be improved by some jewelry, and my inner Queer Eye Guy replied "Honey, it's gonna take more than jewelry to de-frump that combo." The problem is, it's still cold in my office, so I had to put on a cardigan over the a-line jumper I was wearing - which just DOES look frumpy and sad. Without the sweater, and over something other than a turtleneck, the jumper would border on being chic - especially with the right jewelry. But I'm not the kind of woman who puts looking fabulous over being able to function comfortably, so frumpy it is today.

The thermometer I borrowed from the ecology lab is reading 22 degrees Celsius in here, which is almost 72 degrees F, but I don't know. It still feels COLD in here. Maybe there's a draft that is too low-level for me to notice as a breeze. (And it's 18 degrees C in the classroom - which is not quite 65 F.)
