Finished the silly little Patons Pebbles hat.
I'll post a picture when and if things settle down and I can get back to leading an uneventful life. This morning, I'm waiting for a call from an electrician - will have to drop everything and run home if he can come. Then I call the heating guy again.
The really irritating thing is that I didn't think to give my cell number to either person so I will have to be in my office during the times I'm not in class today - so no sorting biomass bags like I had planned, unless I can clean my desk off enough to make a space. So I guess it's office-clean this afternoon, if I'm not at home.
my only comment on the election: if and when a clear winner is found, let's just look ahead, mmm-kay? I don't think I can take more talking-head-pundit-in-fighting stuff.
I admit it - I'm not a very political person. I tend to focus more on what's going on locally, because that's where I feel like I can do some good, by going out and picking up trash or working in the food bank or supporting job-training stuff. I realize that's kind of self-absorbed and burrowing deep into the fur of the white rabbit, but if I reflect on the world at large, and how Laws Get Made, it makes me kind of sick to my stomach.
(and yes, I did make reference to two pieces of literature, neither of which I've read all the way through, in that last paragraph).
Bring on the commercials for The Clapper and for the revived-from-the-80s children's toys. I'm ready for the holiday season, and ready for the end of the political season.
