So, back to work.
I did get up to the point where I'm ready to divide for the fronts and backs of the Tilling the Soil vest. I also started the Booga Bag for my sister-in-law.
And hit the ground running at work. Couldn't find two important documents today. Turns out one was never sent to me, and the other...well, I thought I had the other but I might not have.
And I tried to schedule an important meeting for a group I head. And got the response from one member (when I suggested days I'm free) of "I don't do Friday meetings." Oh thank you so much. What does that mean? If you are traveling to see an SO on Fridays, or have a standing physical-therapy appointment, or have custody of your children, or whatever, that's fine. Tell me - "I have an obligation every Friday." But "I don't do Friday meetings"? That sounds so totally dismissive and diva-ish. Dude, I hate Friday meetings too, but sometimes, with busy people, you have to do them.
So now, I face a potential dilemma - if everyone else is agreeable, and someone can ONLY meet Friday, do I leave him out - or cancel the meeting altogether - or reschedule at a time that's inconvenient for me? It stinks having responsibility sometimes. Gah.
And a meeting I was supposed to have tonight may be cancelled and may be not. I don't know. I suppose I will have to call over my lunch break. I hate calling and sounding so whiny and indecisive: "I know I said I could come tonight but D. can't and I have class so I'd really rather reschedule it and did you even get the email I sent about this?" Ugh.
Like my friend D. said, I really needed one more day of break.
