Well, I started on the second of the Feather and Fan socks, but I had to hide them away this morning. My mom is coming for a visit, and the socks are for her (birthday present). I don't anticipate getting much knitting done this weekend, though. If the weather is nice we might go up to Chickasaw National Recreation Area or maybe down to McKinney for the day on Saturday.
dang, I need to get out.
Also, she is bringing me stuff! Things I couldn't fit in my luggage after Christmas, plus a couple of wheeled under-bed boxes to store off-season clothes in (they have to be the wheeled kind; I have hardwood floors and I don't want to scar up the floors dragging a Rubbermaid box back and forth). She also got me a rack to set up my fluorescent plant light, so I can start germinating tomato and flower seeds for this summer's garden. Yay!
and, in other news, I planted 6 hyacinth and 6 of a special fragrant cultivar of tulips in my front garden (in addition to the other tulips and daffodils). The other day when I looked where I had planted them, there were 6 sets of tulip leaves and 6 sets of smaller leaves that must be the hyacinths. Yay!
