Finished object!
Last night, driving home, I thought "I feel like crocheting something". I also felt the need to finish something. So - I remembered I had a crochet hat from Woolspun (a now apparently-discontinued Lion Brand yarn) I started last winter and lost interest in when the weather warmed up.
So I dug it out - it was closer to "done" than I remembered. I finished the brim, sewed it on, and did the earflaps last night. It's a goofy-looking hat, but it's warm (which is good, because it's 37* and raining here this morning). Didn't Elizabeth Zimmerman say there were two kinds of hats - hats that kept your head warm and hats that made you think you looked cute in them? Well, this is a keep-your-head-warm hat.
I also knit a few rounds on my mom's birthday socks. This weekend, it's going to mostly be wet and raw out, so I plan on staying home, reading journal articles, and making progress on my various projects.
after this week, I'm looking forward to not leaving the house.
