And it's over

Hopefully next week will be better. At least today I didn't have any difficult interactions though mostly it was just one class, a couple quick words with colleagues, and then PT.

I got a chunk of Rosidae done, including the Rosaceae, which is an enormous family (and honestly? I'm gonna tell them not to worry about learning all the Rubus; those things hybridize like whoa and it can be hard to tell for sure; sometimes you just have to go with "of the species that it resembles, what is the most likely one in this region?). Similar for the apples and hawthorns.

And really: I'm happy if people can get things to family; once you've figured out the family it's relatively easy to key the thing out from there.

I pulled out a long-stalled project. YES I need to get to a gift project I need to make (as part of a group thing) but I need a little knitting for me. The thing I grabbed was the purple thing I've been working on for a few years - roughly lace/fingering weight haze yarn with sequins, knit in Turkish stitch. It moves REALLY slowly but someday it'll be done.

Still carrying on with PT. The person who worked with me today said next time she wanted me to try some different (harder) exercises because I was doing so well, and I admit walking out I first thought "oh yes, I am getting a good grade in PT" and then I realized that's it probably not quite normal to want "a good grade" in PT.

But the thing is: I've felt relatively unsuccessful at things of late, and need to feel like I"m doing something well.
