Well, except for me writing the check, but I have the money for that and that will happen once the guy can get his office manager (his wife) up here to accept the check.
I came home from grocery shopping to this:
That's the full dumpster. I took it standing on the neighbor's yard which is maybe a foot to 18 inches higher than the surface of my drive.
I was just about to start lunch and then there was a knock on my door. It was a City guy, and I immediately knew: "Oh, you need for me to move my car"
So I did, and about five minutes later, this is what's there:
(Taken from as close to the same perspective as I could get)
So the GC must have been right on the ball and called the city first thing this morning about the Dumpster. This is good, because we're supposed to get rain and maybe storms next week and it will be good to garage my car again and also good to get the mower out easily once the grass starts growing again.
And it does feel like the final punctuation on the process - it's really, really done, finally.
This afternoon my plans are to wash the surfaces (including the walls) in my kitchen and move my "pantry shelves" back in, and then clean up the dining room a little, and that's.....really all I will need to do. Hugely relieved this is done, don't want to do it again any time soon
