Intersecting with tweets

So Purlewe posted this comic on Twitter:

(The original comic is here)

And I thought: maybe everyone could, as one of those silly Twitter things, post a webcam shot of them with a teddy bear (or, I suppose, whatever animal takes the place of Teddy in their world).

I couldn't figure out how to do it direct to Twitter, so here it is:

(That's Harry. Renamed in honor of the bear who is Fluttershy's friend in MLP:FiM. I originally called him Ted or something equally unoriginal)

Also, I can tell I'm uncomfortable with the world: I was sitting at home this evening, and a knock came on my door. I was immediately on my guard: there has been the odd home invasion here, but what's more likely is some smiling-faced canvasser or salesman and I just didn't want to face that. But I did get up and go to the door and check, because you never know for sure.

It was the UPS guy. I wasn't expecting a book ("A Scream in Soho") I ordered from Amazon to come so soon but there he was with it. I'm glad I answered my door even though he will just leave things. My UPS guy isn't *exactly*....cute....(he looks like he's a bit older than I am, but it's hard to tell for sure - his hair is thinning but then again, so is my 5-year-younger brother's), but he is always cheerful and friendly and gives me a big grin and a wave as he's heading back to the truck, and that's just NICE. I like that. And I wave and smile back and yell out "Thank you!" as he's going.

(There is this stereotype, in some circles, of the "hot UPS guy." I suppose it's the shorts and all the walking. But I'd rather have "friendly" than "hot," to be honest, these days.)

Honestly, I should have expected it was him; this is usually when he shows up and it's not canvassing season here. (And even if it was, say, a couple Mormon missionaries, I'd just thank them for coming, tell them I had a church home, and ask if they needed a bottle of water for the road. It's possible, I think, to not-engage while still being civil)
