looking forward to

My giant isopod is finally on its way!

All day long, it said it was "preparing to ship*" and that I'd allegedly get it tonight. Then I saw a buyer complaint that they never received their item....and then I worried.

But then I got an e-mail, it's left Phoenix and is coming via Fed Ex. So it's on this continent and I don't have to worry about it getting put on a JAL flight or something like that (it's made in Japan). It's supposed to arrive tomorrow but in my experience FedEx isn't always active on weekends. But I will be happy if I get it Monday, so there's that.


(*Heh. There's some kind of a fandom joke about something "preparing to ship" but I'm not sure what would be the best punchline)
