Little happy things

I think last semester was a semester of malaise for me, for some reason. So to try to keep that shaken off, I'm going to try to keep running lists of happy things, maybe post some on here.

So far:

1. The recipe I tried out last night was really good, and made leftovers which should also be good.

2. My piano teacher just e-mailed me back, piano lessons are on for this semester again. (At one point she was unsure if she'd still be able to teach, because of work scheduling). This really delights me a lot.

3. I have some quilt ideas in mind, my piecing mojo and even my handquilting mojo seem to be coming back.

4. Those Ed Emberley fabrics I talked about.

5. One of the Elders who had asked to 'retire' before e-mailed me back and said yes, he can serve again.

6. Six months before I have to go back to the doctor. (Well, I have a gyn appointment in May, but that's also quite a few months away).

7. The guy I did some soil analyses for back in the fall sent me a carnation with a thank-you note on it.

8. My classes are small enough that I'm already learning many of the names of people.

9. I like slightly silly holidays, and today is National Hat Day. This is actually the hat I wore today to protect my head from the chill:

(that's an old picture, but it's the same hat).
