Cheering myself up

It's not been a fun day, between the attempted recovery from the snow days, a student I was really pulling for not earning a very good final grade, a whole big scheduling mess that probably means I miss the lunch out, and just generally being tired and hurty from my adventure with being an icebreaker last night.

But then I thought of something kind of wonderful. Not a wonderful, awful idea like the Grinch had, but hopefully a wonderful, silly idea.

I have a bunch of extra blindbag ponies that are duplicates of ones I already have, right?

And I have a bunch of people I agreed to send Christmas cards to from among my Ravelry friends.

Well. I can see where this should go.

As I said on Twitter: "You get a pony! And you get a pony! You ALL GET PONIES!!!!" and then I get to feel kind of like Oprah Winfrey for a few moments.

Okay, that's kind of awful in a way but it's one of my favorite .gifs ever.)

I do have to get the cards, and also now get little mailers so I can mail the ponies, but since I have to go to the post office to send them anyway (a couple of the cards go overseas), I might as well do them all that way.
