This is partly a reminder to myself to go back to the site I'm linking when I have a bit more time and explore more of the audio files of poetry on there. (Elizabeth Taylor reading "How do I love thee?"! DylanThomas reading some of his own poetry). Sadly, they haven't updated since January, so I don't know if they have stopped, or just moved to Facebook for the updates (like, seemingly, everyone else). But there are always the archives. The site is Poetic Touch.
And apparently at least a few have been placed on YouTube. Like this one:
Alan Rickman is on the short list of people (All men, and most of them British) that I think I could listen to reading the phone book and still have it hold my attention.
If I ever got stupid-rich (like, so rich I began to do stupid things with my money), I'd hire Alan Rickman to come and read Shakespeare to me. (I really should hunt around; perhaps there are recordings of that very thing, which would be next-best)
