Semester's first day

I'm ready to be back. Ready for a more settled schedule again. And ready for fall to come. It's been cooler here and it's rained some, so people are talking about the possibility of an early fall. I could happily go for that.

I have two classes today....one I'm already totally prepped for, the other I have just a bit more to do. I also want to start the second stage of the summer soil invertebrate work...actually looking at the samples and counting things.

And, because I like these silly little traditions I come up with....I think for several years running I've posted a version of Brahms' "Academic Festival Overture" on here the first day of classes, so here it comes again. Sometimes I try to find different versions...I think I've posted this one before...but I like the photographs of Vienna (I assume they are of Vienna) (Derp, no. It's Wroclaw, Poland.
