It seems like ages since I took this photo and stuck it up on Flickr, but it's not even been a week yet. Summer classes move fast; each day feels kind of like a week.
Yesterday was my long day - lab until after 5 pm. And then I had a salad supper meeting to go to so I really didn't do anything other than teach, go to the meeting, and squeeze in the piano practice I needed to do. I don't like days like that. I also didn't sleep well last night; we had huge storms most of the night and thunder tends to keep me awake.
But anyway. Here's something else I finished over break, the Oscilloscope Shawl. Pattern is originally from Knitscene.
I used "Lustra," a Berroco yarn for it - it's a wool and Tencel blend, which makes the yarn sort of shiny. (The shininess doesn't show up too well in photographs). It's also not the softest yarn ever but it did soften up a bit after I blocked the shawl.
Here's a back view. (It's hard to judge photos using the timer when you can't see the camera, so part of the shawl got cut off).

Nice. I like the color. It should look good with lots of fall stuff.
Nice work!
