They were telling us last night to look for "less than an inch" of snow, and I was all, "Good. Then I might get out to the store."
Three inches of snow fell overnight, and more's coming down. I think I will still try going down to the Green Spray, just to get out of the house today. (Green Spray is like four blocks from me. If anything goes really pear-shaped with my car I can walk.)
I don't know if they will have milk, but here's hoping they do. Or maybe I'll call them after they open and ask, just to save myself the trip (and the disappointment) if they don't.
We're supposed to get snow next week too, so I'm getting a little bit scared.
A colleague also e-mailed the rest of us to warn us that the lot up by our building is solid ice. And that the heat in most of the building is off again.

I don't know whether to begin a new project, or continue on with ongoing projects. I have a pair of cabled socks I keep stalling out on - because I'm afraid I won't have enough yarn. (I often do that with projects when I feel like I'm running short; it's like I don't want to face the potential disappointment). I probably WON'T; I'm almost half-done with the foot of the second sock and probably still have 20 g of yarn.
I'm also picking away at the neck on Thermal. (I knit a few rows yesterday afternoon - I took a break from reading because I flipped the television on and got sucked into he movie "Johnny Belinda" - which is fascinating in many ways, and I guess you could call it a beautiful movie, but I have to admit towards the end (leading up to the trial scene) I was getting SO ANGRY at certain people and their lies and their brutality to others...the movie ended happily, I guess, but still...I was mainly drawn in by the scenery: it is set in Cape Breton, in Canada - though apparently filmed in northern California. I find that somehow disappointing.)
It takes a lot longer to do the neckline (it's in twisted rib stitch) than I anticipated it would.
