I'm going to be out and about tomorrow (and probably part of Saturday; because of scheduling I think I'm going to drive down there and then stay overnight) to meet with a fiber-friend.

Unfortunately, she had something not-very-nice happen to her today, so I guess it's good that she's able to get out and spend some fun time.

I'm looking forward to it even though it's going to be HOT. It will be good to get to a bookstore and a place where they have crafty stuff and get a meal out and all of that before teaching begins for the summer.

I have 11 students in my ecology class which is pretty much perfect, and 18 in the general biology class. I'm pretty well prepared to start teaching - went over everything earlier this week. It'll be good to get back into a more settled schedule. I think I really do better with a set schedule that has points where I have to be in a particular place doing a particular thing because when I have a totally open schedule, I tend to waste time, thinking, "Oh, I will have time later to work on stuff." It helps a lot to have more set deadlines and sort of the nucleus of teaching around which the entire day can coalesce.

And the money's not bad either.
