Excellent.
One of my Soils students from last semester stopped by. This was a person that I (somewhat grudgingly) signed into the class even though they hadn't had Chemistry yet (I did the same for a couple of others).
They're taking chemistry this summer. She came by to thank me because:
a. She and the other guys from my class were the only ones who knew what colorimetry was and
b. They were the only ones who could correctly identify all the lab glassware.
Now I feel happy about that, even for all the times I had to yell at one guy that a GRADUATED CYLINDER IS NOT THE SAME THING AS A BEAKER. I guess it finally sank in. (He's one of the ones in the class).
Getting a little positive feedback from time to time is great.

Oh, my. Even I know that a graduated cylinder is not the same as a beaker, and it's been forty years or so since I took a lab.
(If I put my mind to it, I can probably even remember the differences between Erlenmeyer and Florence flasks.)
