Dear company-that-owns-Vogart:

The people who were (innocently) posting reprints of the old, out of print Vogart transfers online have taken them down, out of fear of legal action by you.

Might you consider reissuing those transfers, perhaps as a book of just the designs to be traced onto fabric, for those of us individuals who like the old transfers and would like to use them? It probably wouldn't cost you much to put together from your archives (if you even have archives) and it would go a long way towards the feelings-of-goodwill of the embroiderers out there.

I understand copyright and intellectual property and all, but it makes me kind of sad when something goes out of print and you can't find it anywhere, short of stalking eBay and paying lots of money for a used one.

I do have a couple of sets of the old Vogart transfers I picked up at an antique store, but they're not the very distinctive or cunning ones like the ones a lot of folks had up.

Poo. This kind of thing makes me sort of sad. (And makes me wonder where the financial harm to company-that-owns-Vogart is, if they're not planning on reprinting them and selling them.)

I doubt I'll get a response but I emailed "the company" about it and asked for an explanation.
