more snow

That is what it looked like outside my door about 10 minutes ago. I realize that for those of you in the Northeast or Upper Midwest, that's not much snow - but we don't have snowplows here, they only put sand on the intersections, and people really aren't used to driving in this.

My campus' opening is delayed this morning - until 1/2 hour before my only class of the day, so I guess come 7:30 or so I'm going to make an effort at getting there. I may drive in 2nd the whole way, and I'm probably going to take the longer route that doesn't involve either hills or being out on a major artery.

I just hope I have a few students who come in (this is my non-majors class and I'm not giving a test or anything today). Or, if they do come in, they can get here safely. From what I've heard it's a lot worse in some of the outlying areas.

And I have to go to the store this afternoon (it will all be melted then but I'm wondering if it's even worth it, if there will be any milk or bread to be had. People tend to panic a bit before bad weather and buy up all the staples.)
