The first Snicket sock (from the MagKnits pattern...I heard that MagKnits is undergoing some restructuring so I don't know how available the archives are right now.) I used a Dream in Color sockyarn, I don't remember the color-number or even the name. I really like the Dream in Color "veil dyed" process; the yarn is slightly variegated but the colors don't pool.
I changed the pattern a little. The hourglass-type heel that the original had fit my feet badly, so I switched to a flapped heel with a half-handkerchief heel turn, and then gussets. (Other than that, I pretty much followed the pattern. I did the larger size because I figured that cable panel would pull the fabric in and the smaller size would be too tight.)
Now I need to cast on for the second sock. I hope this one doesn't take as long to complete as the first.

Pretty! There's something about the color and the pattern together that seems to should springtime.
i love it. i'll have to hunt that pattern up when magknits gets their stuff together.
The sock looks absolutely great! Warm and cozy.
