Two good things:
1. I finished the first Snicket sock this afternoon. Mirabile dictu, it fits. (I was afraid it would be too tight given the pull-in of the cabled pattern.)
2. I decided on a whim to click that "add plug ins" link that sometimes comes up on the Google page for Firefox. And found that I can slightly steampunkify my home Firefox experience by using the "skin" called "OldFactory". The back and forward switches are horizontal toggles, and the refresh, stop, and home buttons are switches. And yes, they're animated, so you get to see them move. And there are little turning gears in place of that silly octagon of dots that tells you Firefox is "thinking."
It's a little thing, but it's kind of fun.
