There are a lot of things out there that make me happy.

This is one of them.



It is a video from a British (I presume) musician who calls himself Ukulele Eric (he has a whole channel on YouTube with lots of things on it). This is my very favorite of his performances - it's a version of the old Charles Trenet song "La Mer" (and you may remember how fond I am of Charles Trenet) played with a ukulele accompaniment.

I would not thought - having heard the original, sort-of-orchestral-background Trenet version that it would work so beautifully with a ukulele but it does. It makes me think of summertime and vacation and looking for shells and the breeze off the water...it just makes me HAPPY and I thank Mr. Eric for sharing it.
