Huzzah!
"Thyroid-cat" has apparently started eating again - not a LOT, but better than she was. And my mom said her behavior had become normal again. (This was also after further testing was done by the vet - to make sure the cat's kidneys weren't shutting down - showed everything "perfect." And do you know how they do the most accurate test of kidney function in a cat? It's not QUITE running around after it with a beaker, but it's close...you put plastic beads in the catbox in place of litter (and shut the other cats away from that box, if it's a multi-cat household) and then let nature take its course, and drain the result off the beads. Yuck.)
And my tickets for Thanksgiving came in the mail today. (Yes, I'm still going. Even if the cat's eating better, I don't want her to have a relapse).
AND I got a flyer from the yarn shop (Ewe Knit) up where my parents live. They are having their first anniversary sale - guess when! Right over the time I am up there for Thanksgiving. (So maybe that's a sign that I did really make the right choice).
So even if my stomach's a little oogy from too much garlic, I'm happy.

i'm a garlic freak. there can't be too much garlic in a dish for me, if it's supposed to have garlic. but i have to agree with you, garlic in EVERYTHING is overkill. and, as i age, garlic makes me burp, lol. not gas, or heartburn, just burping. let's hope it doesn't get any worse than that, lol.
glad to hear thyroid cat is doing better. our grumpy cat is actually going in the box again (the dining room floor by the french doors was a target for the longest time)
