I also have to add, as it is the day it is: I'm thinking of the families today. The families who suddenly had a hole torn in them, who saw the tapestry of their lives with threads pulled out.

I can't quite bring myself to say, "May that kind of thing never happen again to anyone anywhere," because human nature being what human nature is, something like it will. But I WISH that kind of thing would never happen again.

My standard advice: hug the people you love. Buy flowers for them now, don't wait until you're doing it for a funeral. Enjoy what you enjoy as much as possible.
